Alaska is a production company founded in Spring 2011 by Paul Sommers, Chris Fouracre and Ian Lamarra. Alaska have produced Jo Whiley Music Show, Jo Whiley Meets…. And the Jo Whiley sessions for SKY ONE and SKY ARTS as well as John Thomson and Simon Day’s comedic travelogue, ‘No County For Old Men’ for HISTORY and are currently in production of Nina Conti’s Search For Enlightenment, a globetrotting authored series for BBC FOUR.
Paul Sommers was co-founder of Tiger Aspect, exec-ing shows as varied as Victoria Wood’s Empire, An Island Parish, James Brown’s Supermodel Salon, Howard Goodall’s Big Bangs and Paul Merton In……. Chris Fouracre founded At-It productions, and Executive Produced Popworld, T4 and Transmission. Ian Lamarra was Head of Development Tiger Aspect factual and Head of Global Formats Development IWC, A career involving developing series’ such as Stephen Tompkinson’s African Balloon Adventure, Iron Chef UK, Britain’s Best Brain and Jonathan Ross’ Secret Map of Hollywood.
